Regional Partners

CRC ensures representation of the church to regional bodies, asserts the significance of faith in the life of the region and works as partners in regeneration through productive partnerships with key regional government organisations:

Yorkshire Forward

Created in 1999 to take on responsibility for economic development in the region. CRC was contracted by Yorkshire Forward to deliver wider opportunity and cohesion in the region and secured recognition of the distinct role of faith communities in the Regional Economic Strategy. CRC is no longer funded by Yorkshire Forward but we work closely with them, and are part of the stakeholder group meeting together to influence regional policy, work which is currently funded by Yorkshire Forward. www.yorkshire-forward.com

Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber

Formed in 1996, bringing together civil servants from many different departments working in the region. CRC works with

Government Office on issues around social inclusion, cohesion, faiths, and regeneration. CRC and the

Yorkshire and Humber Faiths Forum meet regularly with staff of GOYH as part of the Faith Links group
